City of Geneva Kindergartens

Overview
Our office has been mandated by the City of Geneva to carry out the asbestos diagnosis of 46 kindergartens. These expert assessments have revealed the presence of asbestos in some of these childcare centres.

Asbestos presence
The asbestos presence in suspended ceilings and plasters in bad condition was detected in 3 of these kindergartens, Bertrand, Louis-Aubert and Asters childcare centres.

Measures taken
These 3 childcare centres have been quickly subject to asbestos removal work executed by specialised companies. Our office took charge of the work execution management for these 3 priority projects, in close collaboration with the various City of Geneva departments. These 3 asbestos removal projects were completed simultaneously during the 2010 kindergartens summer closure. They required the setting up of containment zones.
